Pole Barns Need Engineer’s Seal In Kentucky

One of our clients recently called me from the job-site where his new home is under construction. He was in a panic because, after purchasing all of the materials and setting up the labor he was told by the building inspector that he could not build his pole barn without approved drawings and an engineer’s seal.
We were able to get him his drawings and seal in a couple of days, but is is interesting that you can build a home in Kentucky with only approved blueprints, but a pole barn requires an engineers stamp.
